Episode 008
Helmut Weissensteiner, known locally as Vostl, on Tradition and Innovation

In the eighth episode of HOCHinteressant, Helmut Weissensteiner, known as Vostl, joins us as our guest. For more than 40 years, he has been running his farm below the Turracher Höhe and, as an organic farmer, has delighted customers with innovative dairy products such as banana curd cheese and award-winning cheeses.

He has worked closely with the Hochschober for many years. But that is by no means all: alongside cheese production, he is also involved in forestry and hunting and regularly develops new products with his son. So where does he find time for a holiday? And why is he known as Vostl?
