Relax Guide has been checking wellness hotels in Austria and the neighbouring countries. In the 2026 edition of the Relax Guide Hotel Hochschober was awarded with 3 Lilies classifying it as “excellent”. Therefore Hotel Hochschober is recognised as one of the best wellness hotels in Austria.
Hotel Hochschober has ranked among the best employers in the hospitality industry for many years. This comprehensive commitment is now further underlined by the "Top Employer" seal of quality, awarded by the industry platform Rolling Pin.
To receive this seal of quality, hotels must fulfil over 50 criteria. These include pay above the collective bargaining agreement, benefits such as meals and accommodation, forward-looking shift planning, and extensive training and development measures. The information is examined and assessed by a Rolling Pin audit team. Hotels that achieve at least 80% of the maximum possible points receive the "Top Employer" seal of quality.
Since 2023, the industry platform Rolling Pin has been certifying particularly committed employers. Hotel Hochschober now ranks among Austria's best employers for the second time already.
The Falstaff Guide 2026 honours Hotel Hochschober three times over: 98 out of 100 points ("Excellent") in the Hotel Guide, 97 points ("Excellent") in the Spa Guide, and 3 forks in the Restaurant & Gasthaus Guide. This makes Hochschober one of Austria's top addresses — for accommodation, wellness, and cuisine alike.
At the inaugural TOURISMUSSTAR AWARD ceremony on April 27th at the Orangery of Schönbrunn Palace, Hotel Hochschober was honoured with 97 out of 100 stars in the "Excellence in Hospitality" category, named "Coziest Hotel of the Year." The award is presented by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy, and the Austrian National Tourist Office — a tribute to the genuine warmth and hospitality lived at Hochschober.
Since 2022, Hotel Hochschober has been carrying the Carinthian Seal of Quality.
