CERE
MONY
perfect cup of tea!
In China, guests are always greeted with a cup of hot tea as a sign of appreciation. This welcoming gesture and the charm of Chinese tea culture inspired the Leeb family to build the four-story Chinaturm. It opened in 2005. The tea house is located on the top floor, where you can enjoy the finest teas from China and Taiwan every day. While sipping tea, you can enjoy views of Lake Turrach or immerse yourself in one of the international newspapers available here.
It's also a special treat to experience the Chinese tea ceremony "Gong Fu Cha." It is regularly featured in the hotel's program. During the silent ceremony, you watch an experienced tea master prepare tea in the traditional way. You taste the various infusions, experience the sounds and the aroma, and learn interesting facts about tea preparation and tea culture.
Listen to the sounds of preparing the tea, watch the hot beverage being brewed before your eyes, and with each sip, experience the delicious flavours of the tea. Also, the characteristic colour of the tea and the aroma that rises from it are true sensory delights during your relaxing holiday at Hotel Hochschober.

Tuina is an essential pillar of Traditional Chinese Medicine. By stroking, kneading, tapping, pressing, and gripping, the energy of life, called Qi, starts to flow. Blockages are released, imbalances are corrected. The therapist works with hands, elbows, and feet. Tuina relaxes, helps with headaches, back and sleep problems. This treatment is also preventive, e.g., for colds and various discomforts.

CLASSES
In the atmospheric ambience you practice yoga. Classes take place almost daily. Twice a year, in June/July and November/December, five to six Yoga am Berg Weeks are part of our program. During these times, internationally experienced yoga instructors offer up to three sessions per day. Each week focuses on a different yoga style.
Walking to the Chinaturm you take the "Silk Road." It lends its name from the historically significant network of caravan routes that connected China with the Mediterranean and Europe.
Barbara and Peter Leeb, the parents of Karin Leeb, travelled to China several times and got to know and appreciate Chinese culture. From their travels, they brought back numerous artworks to Austria, to the hotel with yoga on the Turracher Höhe. Some exhibits are displayed in the lovingly curated exhibition on the Silk Road.
