At Hochschober, a new favourite place is taking shape in 2026 for those who seek to combine tranquillity, warmth and nature.
With the first construction phase, we are expanding our wellness area directly by Lake Turrach – carefully embedded in the alpine landscape of the Turracher Höhe in Carinthia.

New Event Sauna by the Lake – Spacious & Atmospheric

The centerpiece of the new area is the 70 m² arena sauna located directly by the lake, designed for exceptional infusion experiences. Here, soothing heat, carefully selected aromas, and breathtaking mountain views combine to create intense wellness moments.

The new sauna offers:

• Space for up to 50 guests
• Ideal conditions for masterfully celebrated infusion rituals
• A generous sense of space with panoramic views of nature

Relaxation Rooms & Sunbathing Lawn at Lake Turrach

The new wellness area is complemented by:

• The stylish relaxation cocoon overlooking Lake Turrach
• A newly designed sunbathing lawn directly by the water
• Mystical water grottos, the artistically designed ice fountain, and the ice bath

Together, these elements create a harmonious balance between active experiences in the mountains and mindful relaxation in the spa.

Architecture in Harmony with Nature

The new lakeside sauna extension is being implemented at ground level with great sensitivity to the surrounding landscape. At the same time, the existing relaxation room “Schlafsack”, including its fireplace lounge, will receive new frameless glazing and a refreshed color concept. The goal is to make the unique location at the Hochschober even more tangible, creating seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces.
