Easter at Hochschober: Tradition & Indulgence

Easter at Hochschober
When tradition meets indulgence
[Translate to Englisch:]

As winter slowely fades and sunlight brightens the Turracher Höhe, a very special time begins at Hochschober: Easter in the mountains.

Between snow-covered peaks and fresh spring air, an Easter experience unfolds that delights all the senses – and tells its own story day by day.

Arrive & Tune In: The Easter Season Begins

The days leading up to Easter weekend invite you to slow down: to embrace quiet moments, enjoy movement in nature, and indulge in relaxing hours at the spa.

Whether skiing in the spring sunshine, strolling around the lake, or immersing yourself in the warm lake spa – Easter at Hochschober begins in a wonderfully relaxed way. Inside, soothing warmth; outside, crisp mountain air – a combination that nurtures both body and mind.

Good Friday & Holy Saturday: When Tradition Comes Alive

When church bells fall silent, an old Carinthian custom takes over: the wooden rattles. Their rhythmic sound accompanies these quiet days and creates a truly special atmosphere.

Good Friday is dedicated to mindful calm. Culinarily, the day is traditionally accompanied – with a fine fish dish at lunchtime and an indulgent appetizer buffet in the evening.

Holy Saturday brings lived tradition. At 11:00 a.m., the blessing of the Easter foods takes place at the church on the peninsula. Baskets filled with festive specialties are blessed – a ritual cherished for generations.

Back at Hochschober, we invite you to our Easter snack: classically with baked ham in bread and equally enjoyable in a vegan version. A Carinthian specialty is not to be missed: the fragrant Reindling. Baked with cinnamon, sugar, raisins, and a touch of tradition, it is a beloved part of the blessed Easter foods and a true expression of local heritage. Served with it: fine poppy seed butter – creamy, nutty, and with a gentle sweetness that perfectly complements the Reindling.

In the evening, the Easter bonfire in the alpine park creates a magical and atmospheric setting.

Easter Sunday: Festive Moments & Little Wonders

Easter Sunday begins with a festive champagne breakfast. Salmon, caviar, and many other delicacies make this morning truly special.

Our younger guests can look forward to lovingly prepared Easter nests at the breakfast table and a cheerful Easter egg hunt in the children’s villa. For adults, the day unfolds at its own pace – between nature, wellness, and refined cuisine.

A day that brings everything together: tradition and modernity, family and indulgence, lightness and depth.

Easter Monday: A Gentle Farewell

On Easter Monday, time seems to slow down just a little longer. With guaranteed late check-out until 3:00 p.m., there is plenty of room for one last sauna session, a walk by the lake, or simply a few quiet moments to breathe.

This is how your Easter retreat at Hochschober comes to a relaxed close – perhaps with one last glance at the lake, perhaps already looking forward to your next visit.

An Easter Experience That Stays With You

Easter at Hochschober is more than just a long weekend. It is an invitation to rediscover tradition, to take time for yourself, and to appreciate the beauty of the present moment.

Between the sound of rattles, spring sunshine, and refined cuisine, a getaway unfolds that lingers long after your stay.

A celebration for all the senses.
