Construction Diary Week 5: When technology and architecture come together

At Hochschober, the vision of the new Arena Sauna is becoming more tangible day by day. With every stage of construction, new structures, spaces and details are taking shape. The striking curved ceiling, in particular, is already defining the future appearance of the new wellness area directly by Lake Turrach.

Curved ceiling and first technical installations

The curved ceiling was assembled using prefabricated elements. These have now been connected and concreted, making the unique architecture of the new Arena Sauna increasingly visible.

At the same time, the first technical interior works have already begun. Ventilation systems are being installed and the first pipes and lines are being laid. In the rear shower area, drywall construction has also started.

Several trades are now working simultaneously on the construction site:

• Ventilation specialists and technical companies are already installing the first systems in the sauna and shower areas
• Electrical works have begun
• Roofing works in the front section are progressing steadily
• The outdoor areas continue to be flame-treated
• The plunge pool is also almost fully prepared
   

The wave is taking shape

An important milestone has been reached: the wave structure has now been fully concreted.

In the rear section of the site, the trench is currently being filled with quarry material. Construction continues to progress very according to plan. Particularly pleasing: the project remains very well on schedule.

Excellent coordination on all levels

Several project partners and specialist planners are regularly on site to coordinate the next construction phases together. The rapid progress clearly shows how precisely the different works are now interlocking. What often takes months elsewhere is being realised within just a few weeks at Hochschober.

Visible progress is also being made at the new staff residence “Wilfried”, not only at the Arena Sauna.

Step by step, modern and sustainable living space is being created for the Hochschober team.

A new place of wellbeing is emerging

With every passing week, it becomes clearer what the future lake-side sauna area will look like. The curved architecture, spacious areas and direct connection to nature already give a glimpse of the unique place of wellbeing that is taking shape here.

And while construction continues outside, the next phase has already begun indoors: creating a new space for warmth, relaxation and exceptional sauna infusion experiences at Hochschober.
