At Hochschober, the transformation is progressing visibly: In the third week of construction, the prepared areas are taking on clear structures. Walls are being erected, the foundation slab is being completed, and preparations for the ceiling are underway – a decisive step towards finished spaces.
Particularly pleasing: All construction areas are very well on schedule.
The intensive demolition work has been completed. This means it has become noticeably quieter again on the Turracher Höhe. Only at the staff residence “Wilfried” may there still be occasional minor rock work.
At the same time, the first areas are already being closed again: the trenches for the relocated utilities are being refilled.
At the new lakeside sauna, progress is now becoming more visible every day. The steel reinforcements have been fully installed, most of the foundation slab has been concreted – the remaining sections are currently being completed.
Along the rock face by the Waldvilla, wall elements have already been installed and fixed. The first rooms are taking shape, giving an impression of how this new area will feel in the future.
At the same time, preparations for the ceiling are underway: initial elements have already been installed and secured. The remaining parts will follow in the coming days, with this construction phase expected to be completed by the middle of next week.
The side walls are also currently being completed. In the rear section of the construction site, additional walls are already being erected and the roof is being prepared.
In the “Schlafsack” relaxation room, Strussnig has completed its work. Skirting boards have been installed, the windows sealed from the outside, and neatly finished with cover trims.
This area is now fully completed and ready for many relaxing moments.
Work on the staff residence is also progressing steadily. Initial concreting works – such as in the stairwell area – have begun, while further preparations continue in the background.
A geologist has assessed the ground conditions, with the results expected in the coming days. At the same time, rocks have been removed, sections concreted, and the first wall elements installed.
In the coming days, foundation piles will also be drilled into the ground – an essential basis for the next construction steps.
The third week of construction clearly shows how quickly the site is evolving: prepared areas are now becoming real spaces. The combination of precise planning and dedicated execution ensures that all work continues to progress on schedule and at a very good pace.
Key steps are planned for the coming week: the ceiling will be completed, further wall sections closed, and work on the staff residence intensified.
Week by week, something new is taking shape at Hochschober – with great care, expertise, and the goal of making your future stay even more special.
