Culinary delights from the Hochschober cuisine

Classic or vegan?

The Hochschober team refines your holiday with regional specialities wherever possible. Meat, sausage, cheese, butter, milk, yoghurt, herbs and seasonal vegetables mostly come from farmers from Carinthia and the close surroundings. The cuisine team prepares creative and inventive meals with regional and international flavours every day. Every meal comes with vegan alternatives.

Breakfast buffet from 7.30 to 11.00 am

Tempting like the land of milk and honey – and a little bit different every day featuring a broad range of homemade bread and jams, regional sausage and cheese specialties, farmer’s yoghurts and muesli, warm vegan porridge, lactose-free milk products, fresh fruit and vegetables, juices, pickles and sweets. We also prepare fresh egg dishes. Press out your own fruit or vegetable juice at the Saftladen. Our baristas prepare coffee at the coffee bar. Or simply choose from the wide variety of teas.

If you want to start your day earlier, the Schönes Teehaus am Berg opens at 7 am and features Chinese morning tea.

Lunch buffet from 12 am to 4 pm

The lunch buffet is different every day and features a soup, the dish of the day (both with vegan alternatives) and imaginative raw vegetable salads.

Dinner gourmet menu from 6.30 pm

The multi-course dinner menu unites regional and international specialties. You can select salads and starters from the buffet; we serve all other courses. In addition to the dessert, we offer dessert and cheese variations at the buffet as part of the menu. Do you prefer vegan food? We offer a vegan menu every day. You can also order lactose-free dishes. Our wine experts are happy to advise you, or you can select your favourite wine from the wine cellar.

Themed and specialties evenings with musical accompaniment take place regularly.

Tips & tricks from the kitchen

Every autumn, from mid-September to mid-December, the Hochschober motto is “cook & try” featuring weekly cooking classes. Regional manufacturers present their specialities and offer samples on one evening.
