What would a hiking holiday and a walk through the Carinthian forest be without the prospect of stopping at a cosy Austrian alpine cottage? There are two cottages belonging to the Hotel Hochschober which are regularly open.
The “Våstlhütte” and “Karlhütte” Chalets
The rustic “Våstlhütte am Sam” is situated in a beautiful spot with views out to the Karawanken Mountains. It lies about 4 kilometres or an hour's walk from the hotel. The walk to the "Karlhütte" at picturesque Lake Grünsee will take you just under half an hour.
