The Hochschober's Basislager equipment centre is a modern ski, shoe, and sports equipment storage facility. Your base camp for activities around the Carinthian lakes and mountains is bright, spacious, practical and above all fragrant.
Light and air, room and space: for your hiking holidays in Austria
At the base camp you can get yourself in the mood for your outdoors activities at the cosy fireplace, take a moment to sit down on one of the interestingly designed seats and lace up your shoes. Upon your return you can put your walking, running or skiing boots into the shoe cupboard to dry and ionise. There is also plenty of room to store mountain bikes, skis and other sports equipment.
Practical and useful details
At the Basislager equipment centre you will find the hiking library with many useful tips for your walking and hiking holidays in Austria. The oversized map on the floor gives you a good overview over the region and routes.
We also provide you with fresh apples. There is a mountain spring water fountain, juices for mixing, a tea making facility, and sunscreen dispensers. Use of sunscreen is recommended, as the sun on the Turracher Höhe can be quite intense.
Ski Service by Ski-Sepp
Mister Ski-Sepp likes nothing more than to prepare your skis, sharpen edges, repair surfaces to ensure your safety and skiing enjoyment. In winter, the Ski-Sepp, whose full name is Josef Huber, offers his ski services directly at the Hotel Hochschober’s Basislager equipment centre.
