The See-Bad pool at the lake-view hotel
Glide through the nice warm waters, work your muscles and your breathing: at the Hotel Hochschober right on Lake Turracher See on the border between Carinthia and Styria, you can take a swim in a very special atmosphere – indoors or in the heated See-Bad lake pool.
Sun and stars
Many hotel guests like to visit the See-Bad lake pool in the early morning - swimming to set the body in motion. And for the natural spectacle: depending on the time of year you can look at the stars or watch the rising sun bathe the landscape in a pink light. Swimming in the falling snow or rain also leaves beautiful impressions; or in the evening under the night sky.
Fog and ice
In winter you might be swimming through thick patches of fog. Around you, the frozen Lake Turracher See lies peaceful. In those conditions it takes some willpower to walk the short distance from the hotel to the See-Bad lake pool and back. But before you even notice the cold, you are either in the warm water or in the warm hotel.
Do you prefer swimming under a roof? Then we suggest the "Grüner Salon" indoor pool with lake-views to Lake Turracher See. You can also take part in morning water gymnastics several times a week in this pool.
If you simply like to be immersed in water and still want to be in the fresh air the three outdoor pools are a good option: the "Faulenzerpool" (36°C), the "Grüne Lagune" (38°C) and the "Blaue Lagune" (36°C).
Rather cold than warm
Do you like the tingling sensation of cold water? In summer, Lake Turracher See is there to swim in for everyone who enjoy temperatures around 16°C. The water in this Austrian mountain lake hardly ever gets warmer than that.
See-Bad lake pool opening hours
In summer: 7:00 to 19:00
Im winter: 7:00 to 10:00 and 16:00 to 19:00 (all day in good weather)
