Many local suppliers deliver their delicacies to the Hotel Hochschober
Wherever possible, at the Hochschober we improve your holiday in Austria with regional delicacies. Meats, cheeses, butter, milk, yoghurts, herbs and seasonal vegetables are supplied for the most part by farmers from Carinthia and the nearby region of Styria.
Mornings
7.30 to 10.30
A paradise of delicacies – and slightly different every day – is what you will find at our breakfast buffet. It offers a large selection of home-made breads and jams, regional meats and
cheese specialities from Carinthia and Styria, farm yoghurts and mueslis, fresh fruit and vegetables, juices, pickled fare, waffles and sweet pastries. Our omelette varieties are cooked to order.
The baristas in our
“Bohne & Blatt” (Bean & Leaf) coffee bar prepare your
coffee to your liking. It also offers a large selection of
teas – from Japanese Sencha and traditional Earl Grey, to fruity infusions and the popular Hochschober house blend.
Prepare your own fruit and vegetable juices at the
“Saftladen” juice extractor facility.
If you start your day early, the
“Schönes Teehaus am Berg” tea house opens at 7am and we'd be happy to serve you a Chinese morning tea.
Lunch time
12.00 to 16.00
The
lunch buffet changes daily. We offer a soup and main course of the day, and a selection of fresh salads.
Evening meal
From 18.30
Our evening meals combine
regional and international specialities. Select salads and starters from the buffet. There is table service for all other courses. In addition to the dessert included in the set meal, we offer a buffet selection of desserts and
cheeses.
We regularly offer themed and specialty evenings with musical accompaniment.
Our
wine specialists are happy to assist and advise you in your
wine choice. You can also choose your own favourite wine from our wine vault.
TIP: Between once and twice a week you can book a seat for the
"Küchen-Stammtisch" kitchen night (for an additional fee). Here you will experience at first hand the goings-on in our modern kitchen, and will be pampered with numerous little delights.
