Hausbrandt coffee from Trieste – freshly brewed using a
professional coffeemaker called "Atalante". This machine comes from France and was produced in limited numbers. There are only 10 of them in use in Austria. Two of them are at the Hochschober: one at the hotel bar and one in the "Bohne & Blatt" (Bean & Leaf) coffee area, where you can have your holiday breakfast coffee brewed to your liking by our
trained baristas, naturally.
Tea from China
Our love for China and the Chinese culture becomes apparent in our tea selection. Brewing tea and drinking tea are an important and very old part of the Chinese way of life. We buy high quality Chinese teas, especially
green teas, black teas, herbal teas and fruit infusions, from Austria's best tea suppliers: the “Demmers Teehaus” shop and “Teehaus Artee” shop in Vienna.
Select the tea of your choice for breakfast. During the day, at the “Schönes Teehaus am Berg” tea house we offer a daily selection of Chinese teas for you to taste and enjoy during your holiday.
The Chinese tea ceremony
Once or twice a week you have the opportunity to take part in an authentic Chinese tea ceremony, in the unique atmosphere of the
Chinese tower with views to Lake Turracher See. The ceremony is conducted by our staff who were specifically trained by a Chinese expert.
At the ceremony you can observe the careful preparation of the tea pot and tea cups, the deliberate brewing sequence, you will taste the tea and tea leaves, and learn interesting facts about Chinese tea culture and the various types of tea.
