Singing in a sea of blossoms
A creative holiday in Austria with the Mirnock Quartet
Walking and singing? For some, this combination might bring up up childhood memories. Everthing went smoother with a song on your lips; and singing outside in nature is also good fun. Listen or join in the singing: both are possible on a walk with the Mirnock Quartet.
Hiking in a sea of flowers spring walks
Those who want to experience a second spring only need to go on a June journey to the Turracher Höhe at 1,763 metres above sea level. Here, on the banks of Lake Turracher See and around the Hochschober hotel, the larchs and pines show their fresh green shoots. Pink Almrausch blossoms cover the mountain pastures, and tender grass sprouts on the rolling Nockberge Mountains.
Flowers and blossoms
From mid-June onwards our staff will take you on blossom walks. Out on the meadows and pastures, pink Almrausch blossoms appear next to blue Enzian, bluebells, purple snowbells, yellow mulleins, yellow spotted arnica and white Alpine anemones.
Song and sound
There are two dates for walks accompanied by the Mirnock Quartet on the programme. The four young men from Carinthia bring their instruments along and during the walk they sing folk and hiking songs, and most importantly songs from Carinthia. Carinthia is known especially for its musical heritage and its vibrant choral tradition: the walks with the Mirnock Quartet promise an equally energetic and atmospheric experience!
